The Moon

"The moon is at her full, and riding high, floods the calm fields with light. The airs that hover in the summer sky are all asleep tonight."

  5. Hi Jacob and thanks. It does look mysterious doesn't it?

It's actually two different photos. I took the branch photo in the day and then added the moon photo I took. Merged them together, added a texture and that was it.

  11. WOWZERS!!! This photo is just STUNNING! I'm confused on how exactly you merged these two photos ... you must have taken a lot of time to erase whatever was behind the branches to make that photo transparent in order to lay it on top of the moon photo? Do you have a program that easily does that? If so, I'd be interested in knowing what the name of the program is. In any case ... this really looks awesome. :)

  14. Hi Jodi, Veronica and Joanna. Thank you all. I'm glad you liked the photo.

Jodi, I use Corels Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. The branch photo has a blue sky background and the moon photo background was black. When I merged them together I didn't need to erase anything. I simply chose a setting that I liked (eg. darken, lighten, multiply...). I then added a texture to it and the photo you see was created. Thanks for asking. It was a lot of fun.

  15. They are all AMAZING - but I love the feel of this one - the blue darkness that reminds me of the hard winter coming - in January and February we can hit minus 30 to minus 40 - I LOVE IT.

  17. Thanks very much One Million Tulips. I had fun creating it. I took both photos and then merged them together. I did add a texture to it. I'm happy with it although I'm sure I could have worked on it some more. Thanks for stopping by. ~Cindy
