Tree and Sky

"The most I can do for my friend is simply be his friend."  ~Henry David Thoreau

A photo of a tree I took a short while back.  I love the sky in the background and thought black and white was more dramatic.  I found the quote, liked it and thought I'd share it with you.

    1. Hi Jackie, it's been really busy. Dad's medical problems, me having bronchitis that doesn't want to go away and now finding out that I've got asthma that's being aggravated by my sisters cats. They keep me feeling kind of bad but I'm dealing with it. Hoping you and your parents are doing well. I hope to be back blogging soon.

      Have a wonderful weekend,
      Cindy

  3. I agree. More dramatic in the black and white.

  4. My first thought was "stormy weather" a-comin'! Lovely photo and the b&w really works.

Hope all is well with you!

  5. Hi Lowell,

Thanks. Everything is going ok. Still in school and still unemployed. Hopefully that will change soon. It does look like stormy weather but it was a beautiful morning (I think it was morning when I took it).

Hope you are doing well also. Have a great weekend.

  6. Nice to hear from you. Does your comment mean you are going to graduate soon? Best wishes!

    1. Hi Lowell,

Thanks for the wishes. Unfortunately graduation is awhile away. I'm only taking one course at a time because I'm hoping to get a full time job soon. I figured if that happened I would only be able to handle one course a quarter. Especially since I've got some heavy duty courses coming up. This quarter I have Corporate Finance and I love it!

  7. How is your Dad? ...And your asthma? I'm hoping that all is well with you and yours.
I was delighted to read the above comments regarding your schooling and your love of Corporate Finance. I have to be honest and say that I don't think I would like that course.
I hope that you get/got that full-time job.
I'm sending you hugs and wishes for a lovely remainder of the summer. (I feel a wee bit of fall in the air here in South Georgia.) We (hubby and I) were in Jacksonville, FL this past week. We enjoyed quiet time at the beach there.) We are both retired now. Well, just wanted to check in with you. Always sending extra hugs from me for Charlie and Annie, too! :)))
    Smiles,
    J.
P.S. The "comment" feature on my blog isn't working. Not sure what the problem is, but I'm not gonna sweat the small stuff. Blogging without comments for me is better than not blogging at all, so I'm plugging along! :)))

  8. We are both doing fine right now. Still loving my class and hoping I did well on my midterm. Glad to hear you had a relaxing getaway. I think I need one. Not doing much blogging right now. Don't feel much like getting out and photo hunting. Maybe soon. I've been posting more to instagram lately. Charlie and Annie are doing well. Pulled huge thorn out of Charlie's muzzle yesterday. Not sure how ling it was there. It was in quite deep. He seems ok. Still no job but I've kinda stopped looking. I search very few days for a bit and check the Sunday paper. I'm sorry I didn't respond to your comment sooner. I forget to check the comments awaiting approval. I need to take that off so it allows them to be published at the time they are written. Hope everything is going well with your parents. No fall feeling here yet. It's been unbearably hot to me outside. Maybe that's one reason I don't feel like photo hunting. Hope your comment problem gets resolved soon. Have a great weekend and take care.

    Hugs,
    Cindy
