Delightful findings

I spent most of the day walking around the backyard and down the dirt road in front of the house.  I found these images and thought they were good enough to share with those of you that still drop by from time to time.

I hope you enjoy them.

Light shining through some leaves.

I saw this bunch of leaves and thought they were pretty.  I took a photo but didn't realize how nice they looked until now.

An old neglected fence at the front near the road.  The home it belongs to is abandoned.  I love how the light is hitting the fence.

Annie at the back of the property.  I'm not sure what she's looking at.  She probably looked away because I had the camera out.

Charlie walking through the multitude of leaves that have fallen in the past week.  Although this photo doesn't show it the leaves are a mix of brown, red, yellow/gold and a few green ones here and there.

Trees with very few remaining leaves.  I like this one against the blue sky and white clouds.  I took this from the dirt road in front of the house.

Some trees have very few leaves left but some of them like this one is already starting to produce new buds.

I like the bokeh in this this one and how the sun light shines through the leaves.

  1. I stopped to take in each photo, Cindy.
I love the colors and textures in the nature photos.
I especially love the light on the fence; light and shadows make for beautiful compositions.
Your photos are peaceful and lovely. This time of the year is one of my favorite times of the year.
I send you smiles and hugs and hope that you have a wonderful week.
It's great to see photos of Annie and Charlie.
I love your sweet pets; they are friends of the heart forever.
    Hugs,
    Jackie

    1. Thank you Jackie. I've really been enjoying being outside this past week and the weather has been great. Saturday was the Spring Hill Christmas Parade, nothing fancy but we enjoyed it. We only had to walk to the end of the road to see it. It started at the Middle school about a half mile from the house and ended at the church across the street.

The fence photo is my favorite. It's wonderful when the light cooperates.

Charlie and Annie are doing well. Charlie continues to bring the yard in with him each time he goes out and comes back in and Annie is still trying to get the cats. She does not like cats!

I hope you and your family are well. Thank you again for the postcard. I loved it.

      Hugs to you,
      Cindy

    2. So glad that you are having a good week; the weather is lovely, and it is a great time of the year for photo opts, for sure!
I smiled when I read that Charlie brings the yard in when he comes inside. Gotta love him!! And...Annie....you know that is a never-ending duel between da cat and da dog! They love to antagonize each other to no end.
We are doing fine, Cindy. We enjoyed our time in NC before and after Thanksgiving. It is always wonderful to get away with my parents, but it is also good to be back home (FL for them and South Jawja for hubby and myself.)
Glad you liked the postcard. I wondered how long it would take the USPS to deliver it...glad it arrived.
I look forward to sending you more cards... Until then, I send you smiles and hugs.
Take care of you, my friend!!
