Short and Sweet

Some of the things I've captured over the past week.  I hope you enjoy them and the quote.

"When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.  The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares."  ~Henri Nouwen

  1. I love your blog, Cindy.
Your photos are always beautifully captured.
One thing that I've noticed about your photographs is that they contain elements of gentleness. I think that's because they are an extension of you.
The quotation you've used here is one that I will copy and save in my files. It is perfect for you because you are that kind of friend, yourself.
Sending you and your family much love,
    Jackie

  2. Just checking back on some of your earlier work. This is quite excellent; strong color and nice and sharp. It does look like spring has sprung around here, too, with everything greening up nicely! Just hope we don't get another hard freeze!

Hope all is well with you.

    1. Thank you Lowell. I can't wait for Spring to get here. Partly because it will be such a welcome relief from this yo-yo winter weather of ours. Florida just can't make up its mind to be winter or not. I'm looking forward to some nice greenery too. Hope all is well with you too!

    1. Thanks Connie. They have such cute expressions and I was happy I caught this little one with the corn in his mouth. I read the quote and just really liked it. I usually try to match the quote with the photos but it doesn't always work out that way. This was one I just really wanted to share.
