Perseverance

This little guy got himself caught up in the Oak tree by Annie.  She wasn't about to let him come down and get away.  He made many attempts to get to one of the feeders but Annie was always there to run him back up.  I eventually felt sorry for the little guy and took the dogs in.  I'm sure he feasted after we went inside.  Isn't he a cutie?

Annie is so determined to catch a squirrel.  She can sit and watch the tree all day.  Thankfully she's never caught one.  Isn't she a beauty?

Wishing everyone a wonderful tomorrow.

Until next time...

  1. Go Annie! (I'm rooting for her; squirrels aren't my fave....I call 'em tree rats.) I wouldn't kill one, but it gives me a smile in the heart to know that Annie treed this one!
Give her a pat on the head for me.
By the way...terrific photos of the squirrel. He(she) looks like he/she is looking right at you. You are always in the right place at the right time, and you know what you are doing with that camera. Good shot, my dear friend....
    Love,

    1. You sound like my Mama Jackie. She didn't like them either and always said they looked like rats too. Annie loves chasing the squirrels. The others don't seem to care that much but will join in if she takes off after one. I don't think they realize what she's after and when the do they lose interest. Not her though, she can sit forever looking up a tree waiting on one. I'm still learning my camera and enjoying it. I love figuring it out. I will definitely give her a pat for you.

      Hugs,
      Cindy

    1. I wonder if I did something to my blog. I've been trying to change it around a little. I'm glad they finally loaded for you. Let me know if you have any more problems with it.
She is a cutie! Did you notice the little bit of dirt under her nose.

      Hugs,

    2. No, I don't think it's something you did to your blog; I think it's the browser on my PC.
I love the lighting on sweet Annie's face, Cindy...perfect capture.

    1. Thank you Happyone. I like Annie better too. I must admit I like watching the squirrels play and it's rather entertaining when Annie chases them.

  4. Our golden retriever mix has the same challenge every day. It's so fun to watch, especially since I know that Chance will never catch the little varmint. Your photos bring out the cute in both the dog and the squirrel. Great job!
