Ocean treasures

Song of a Shell

"I held a sea shell to my ear,
and listened to its tale
Of vessels bounding o'er the main
and all the ships that sail.
It sang of brilliant water flowers-
the bright anemones
that bloom beneath the ocean waves-
tossed in from seven seas.
Each time I harken to this song,
I hear the breakers moan,
and fancy that a warning bell
rings from a lighthouse lone.
No longer need I wish to go
where foam-capped billows swell,
for I've an ocean of my own
within this pearly shell".

  1. Hi Cindy! These are absolutely gorgeous photos. We love shells and have a few small collections in our home from our visits to various beaches in Florida. These, though, are perfect!

    Cool poem or song, too.

    Have a great week!

  2. Thanks Jacob. I've got a few shells too. I love collecting them. Have a great week and a safe holiday.

  3. Very nice photos Cindy! Thank you for your comment today. I really like Charlie and Annie too! :-)

  4. Thanks Mike. Look forward to visiting you blog again. Thanks for stopping by.

  5. Thanks Kerri. I had a few different photos of shells and thought what could I do with them. Oh I know make a mosaic. Glad you like it.

  6. Not only do I love the perfection of the shells, but I love what you did with the backgrounds for them. Very creative....

  7. Thanks Jackie. I was in a very creative mood that day.
