It's been awhile since I ventured from home to get any photos. I keep saying to myself I'm going to one of the local parks or preserves but something always prevents me from going. So, until I actually make it to the park, I have these two Chickadee photos to share with you.
Wishing everyone a happy Sunday evening and a wonderful new week.
The chickadee is the one bird I don't have a good shot of. They are pretty quick.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet captures!
You have a lovely blog. Thanks so much for visiting mine and leading me here. :)
Thank you Carletta. I've been pretty lucky with the Chickadees. Although I still try and get a better one each time. It seems I'm never satisfied. I agree they are quick. Thank you for the blog compliment. I think yours is quite lovely too and I love your Sparrow photos. I'm still working on getting a shot of one.
DeleteHave a great week and thanks for visiting.
Gorgeous shots of the chickadees. The shots are beautiful with the pretty blue sky in the background! Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen. Taken on two very different days. I love both but I like the puffed Chickadee. He's so chubby looking like that.
DeleteHave a wonderful week. Happy Monday!
A little cutie.
ReplyDeleteCostas
Thanks Costas. They are very cute birds. Love them.
DeleteYour bird photos are amazing. We sit at our kitchen window and watch them but they're too fast for my camera, I think.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week yourself!
Thanks Lowell. I can sit pretty close to them now. Sometimes I'm only about four feet from the seed post or the feeder in the tree. Not sure how close I was with these.
DeleteJust call me the bird lady! LOL.
A beautiful capture. My chickadees at the feeder are so skittish and difficult to capture! Nice job getting light in the eye to separate from the mask too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tracey. These little ones can be very jumpy. I often get frustrated by their lack of respect for me and my camera. LOL! But then all is forgiven when they do finally sit still. Have a great week.
DeleteAlways happy when I see you've posted; can't wait to get to your blog and see your photos and read your blog. I'm never disappointed.
ReplyDeleteYour chickadees are so darned cute! I did get out and about with my camera, but I made a mistake that cost me some shots. I have thousands of photos on my camera card, and it slowed my shooting time down to the point that I didn't get the shots that I wanted.
Lip poking out! But, I unloaded the camera card when I got back home to my computer...and I will go at it again. The weather has turned beautiful (we saw a few flakes of snow here on Sunday! Go figure!!)... It has warmed up now, and is beautiful outside. Camera and I will be out and about for sure!!!
Love coming here. Sending you and your Dad and your sister and family (and that always includes Charlie and Annie) hugs and great big smiles.
Love you, my friend...
Jackie
Thank you so much Jackie. I'm sorry you weren't able to get your shots. Hopefully the entire outing wasn't a wash. Your weather sounds delicious. Ours has been very cold and painful to be outside in at times. I wish we had some snow flakes here. It would have made it worth it. Today was nice after a very chilly morning. I spent a little time out trying to find something other than birds.
DeleteCharlie and Annie send hugs. Charlie is being very impatient right now and is trying to get my attention. He wants to be fed dinner. I thought he would be reasonable but he's now pouting at my feet. Dad is doing okay. Second eye surgery went well.
Love and hugs,
Cindy
I love the chickadees! We have quite and few of them in our yard and they are such characters! I usually hear them before I see them. You took some excellent shots of them. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Gail. They are quite noisy at times but I love hearing them. Probably one of my favorites to photograph.
DeleteWonderful images of these beautiful little birds... I have just had a lovely browse around your blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrew. I had a lovely visit to your blog. Enjoyed all the different birds. Will definitely visit again.
DeleteSometimes you don't have to travel far, if at all, to capture nature at its best! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThank you and you are so right. Have a great Tuesday!
DeleteIsn't he a cutie!! A wise saying.
ReplyDeleteOh, he is definitely a cutie. I agree, very wise and I wonder how many of us realize this.
DeleteChickadees are always great to see! They are so full of energy.
ReplyDeleteYou're not joking! I wish they'd give me some of it. Thanks for stopping by and happy Wednesday.
DeleteHi again, Cindy...I'm in town and on my mobile phone, but I wanted to send you another message and let you know how happy I am that your Dad's second eye surgery went well!
ReplyDeleteI will email you tonight when I get home.
Hugs,
J.
Thank you Jackie. I'll be sure to let him know.
DeleteHugs,
Cindy
Always worth a trip out to see birds like this - although ones of this size can be hard to capture.
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
They are pretty quick and as you say worth a trip. I'm lucky with these little ones. Actually I found all my birds just outside my back door. Thanks for the visit Stewart.
DeleteWonderful photos Cindy. I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at your blog today and thanks so much for stopping by mine.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Denise and you're welcome. I loved the photos of the Hawk you posted. So beautiful. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.
