Smiles of Nature
"Colors are the smiles of nature." ~Leigh Hunt
Annie update: She ate her breakfast a little slower this morning because she's still a little drugged. Also I think her throat might be sore from the breathing tube they had in her during surgery. She's been crying off and on since just before breakfast. I'm pretty sure she needs to go outside but it hurts her to go down the ramp, which is the only way for her to get out. She goes back to the vet at 3:15 for a clean bandage and possibly a pain shot. Clean bandage wasn't due until Thursday but it got wet when she went out earlier. We sure don't want her paw to get infected. A big thank you to all of you who have asked about her and sent prayers and well wishes. Annie and I really appreciate it.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
Until next time...
Cindy

Beautiful flower. Cindy.
ReplyDeleteYou know I am praying for Annie (and Charlie, too!)
Keep me posted.
Hugs,
J.
Hi Jackie and thank you. Annie seems to be better. At least I hope she is. She got a new bandage and her pain meds were increased. She goes back on Friday instead of Thursday to have it checked. They may leave the bandage off or put a new one on. Depends on how it looks. Charlie seems better too.
DeleteHope all went well with your Mama. :)
Hugs,
Cindy
Hope the pain meds did the trick for Annie.
DeleteSo glad that Charlie seems better; he is probably suffering sympathy pains for sweet Annie.
Mama's appointment went well; thank you, Cindy.
Hugs,
J.
I'm so happy it went well for her. :). As always say hello for me.
DeleteThe increase in pain meds seemed to help. She's acting a little more like herself too. However, she seems sad but maybe that's just me. I'm sad. :( I hate seeing her hurt and having to go through this. I'm sure she'll be fine and so will I.
Hugs,
Cindy
Poor Annie! I do hope her recuperation goes well and that she's back to normal soon. Your photo is so light, airy and artful. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gail. She's much better I think tonight. She got a new bandage and an increase in pain meds which has helped. She barked and jumped at one of the cats tonight so I know she must be feeling a little better. Thank you for the compliment on the photo. Have a great tomorrow. :)
Deletehere's to Annie feeling better really soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I think tomorrow will be a better day for her and me. Have a great tomorrow. :)
DeleteThe photo is surreal ... very impressive! Poor Annie! It's never any fun being operated on and the recovery can be quite painful. I'm sure she'll feel better as time passes and as she heals. It ain't easy being a dog!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lowell.
DeleteAnnie is doing better and starting to act more like herself, which make Mommy (me) very happy. She's still cryin some which breaks my heart but I know that's to be expected because she is in some pain. Thankfully the vet increased the pain meds which seem to help. I agree it ain't easy being a dog.
Happy Wednesday! :)
Great photo. The colors are so soft. Poor Annie. I know she'll be doing better soon. And you too.
ReplyDeleteThank you. We are both doing better.
DeleteThe poor dear! Hope she heals up soon.
ReplyDeleteYour petunia is gorgeous with all that shiny light coming through.
Thank you Connie. Annie is doing better. Have a great Thursday. :)
DeleteGorgeous petunia! I hope Annie is now on the mend!
ReplyDeleteThank you. She is doing much better. She has resumed her normal activities of chasing the cats. Have a great Friday. :-)
