I ❤ Woodpeckers
"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." ~E. E. Cummings
I took these early evening yesterday while sitting in the backyard. I love the bokeh effect. I used the iPad app PhotoToaster to add the white vignette and the soft white frame.
Happy Tuesday everyone and happy blogging.

Beautiful shots, Cindy! The bokeh is so dreamy. Your edit really helps this red-bellied woodpecker stand out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gail. The least amount of processing this time. I didn't want to ruin that bokeh. Happy Tuesday.
DeleteBeautiful, Cindy.
ReplyDeleteCostas
Thanks Costas. Have a great Tuesday.
Deletelovely! and i adore woodpeckers as well, even if they are destructive!
ReplyDeleteThank you. They can be destructive but I adore them too. I'm partial to the little Downy Woodpecker. Happy Tuesday.
DeleteThank you Nora. I love that particular app and lately I find myself using it more than my PC editing programs. Have a great day. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in every way. The bokeh is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ruth. I love the bokeh too. :)
DeleteHi my friend....you know that I am typing from afar....and that I am fussing with "autocorrect"......but I'm here and wanted to let you know that I always love looking at your photos. You are also very good at taking a great shot and making it even more appealing with your fantastic editing abilities.
ReplyDeleteSending you and your furry babies another hug.
I will post more when I don't have to fight with autocorrect.
:)))
Love,
Jackie
(Seeeee... I had to correct. "Jackie"....it typed in "Hackie".... Shaking my head..... )
Thank you Jackie. Autocorrect can be very frustrating. I'm always afraid I'll forget to proof read and send something out that I shouldn't. It has caused me many stressful moments. LOL! Hackie, that's funny.
DeleteThe fur babies send hugs and kisses.
Hugs,
Cindy
Terrific shots of the woodpecker!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Happyone. One of my favorites.
DeleteVery nice woodpecker portraits! But these guys can do a lot of damage. For awhile we lived in a 2nd floor condo in Ft. Lauderdale and I think it was this same woodpecker (well, maybe one that looked like this one...) who pecked away at the top of a palm tree right by our window. Drove us nuts! Didn't do the tree much good, either! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Lowell. I agree with you they can be destructive and cause a lot of damage. They have a tendency to peck on one particular tree in the back yard. It's a huge dead Pine tree, waiting for removal. Hopefully they'll leave the others alone. I hope your week is going well.
