"There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before." ~Robert Lynd, The Blue Lion and Other Essays
Oh, boy!!!! You're back!!!! And with a stunning photo!!! That hawk is incredible!!! And I love the quote you paired with this! Wow! Wow! When you return, you do it with a bang! Have a beautiful weekend, dear Cindy!!! You started mine off with such happiness! Love, Janine XO
Cindy...I am finally able to get to your blog. I'm so glad!!! The hawk photograph is stunning. You were at the perfect place at the perfect time. What did you do to get him to pose for you? :))) Give Charlie and Annie a hug for me... Love and hugs, Jackie
Thanks Janine, Dot, Costas, Jackie, Doreen, Early Birder and Diana for the wonderful compliments. I didn't mean to be gone so long again but I had so much school work to catch up on and then finals. Thankfully the quarter is over.
Jackie, Charlie and Annie are doing fine and I'll be sure to pass along your hugs to them.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone. Happy blogging. ~Cindy
Thanks Jacob. It's a Red Shouldered Hawk. We have a nest of them in a tree out back. They're there all year long. Can't go a day without seeing one. I love them. Great birds.
Starting back to class on Monday. Looking forward to it.
Cindy...I popped back in to see if the hawk flew away. :)))))))) He's still there...MAGNIFICENT! Splendid job on this photo.....I'm still in awe of the capture of this shot!!!!! I wish you only the best as you started back to class on Monday. Smooth sailing in your class!!! Love and hugs, Jackie
Thanks Jackie. It's started off good. I hope it continues. I really was lucky to get the shot of the Hawk. I'm surprised there were not Mockingbirds picking at/on it. I love these birds they are so beautiful. I can't wait until our break. I'm looking forward to the holidays and I really need some time off from work and school. Charlie is asleep on my bed and Annie is in the dining room. They have been such good babies. Sad news yesterday. My sister Teresa had to have her Black Lab Princess put to sleep. She had cancer and was in pain. She was a wonderful friend and protector. She'll be missed. On a more cheery note I hope you're having a wonderful weekend and the weather is cooperating wherever you are. ~Cindy
Thanks One Million Tulips. Happy Sunday.
Hi Janine. Thanks for stopping by. I wish I had more time for visiting everyones blog but school has started back and I'm already working hard and trying not to fall behind. It's so hard sometimes with all the work they give us. Looking forward to the break coming up for the holidays. I really need it. Have a wonderful weekend. ~Cindy
Thanks Janine. I apologize it took so long to respond. Things around here have been a little crazy. Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week. Cindy
Thanks Jackie. It's been a sad time for my sister and for us too. Princess was a true and loyal friend to my sister. I know she misses her very much. Stopped by and read your comment on Annie. Thank you. It was very hard on me. I worried about what she was thinking about me leaving her. Charlie is doing better. He gave her kisses earlier. They looked so cute lying next to each other kissing. Smooches on the way.
