"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
~Robert Brault
This little Cosmos grew from some seeds that my Dad threw out in the front flowerbed. At first we thought nothing was going to grow but then a tiny sprout appeared and then another and another. I created the b&w for a blog I contribute to called "The World in Black and White". Wishing all a very happy and wonderful week.
..love it when little sprouts appear...and then flowers blossom. Beautiful photo, Cindy. I love your work...
ReplyDeleteHello, dearest Cindy!!! Thank you for "liking" my facebook page...It means the world to me...Your photography is fantastic!!! I love this black and white especially...You have an incredible eye for composition, and your photos are so crisp! I'm really going to enjoy following your blog!!! Thanks for extending your hand of friendship!! ~Janine XO
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy! You did really well with this one...again, I like the sharp center and the soft focus surrounding. B&W is a different and interesting take on this flower.
ReplyDeleteKinda figured you'd like the labs...that was a long time ago...how'd you happen to find that post?
Hi Jackie. Thank you. Of all the seeds Dad planted the Cosmos were the only ones to bloom, and not many of them. Hope your week is going great. Happy Wednesday. ~Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Janine, Thanks for coming by. I've been following your blog for awhile now. However, I took a break from blogging and since coming back I haven't had a chance to visit all the blogs I follow. You've left comments on my other blog which I closed a few weeks back. I'm glad to be back blogging and I love your "Sniffles and Smiles" blog. Again thanks for visiting and for the wonderful comment. I look forward to catching up on your blog and seeing/reading all that I've missed. ~Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Jacob and thanks. I've been trying to figure out all the settings on my camera and I've been following a blog that teaches about photography. I just learned about aperture and shutter speed. I knew a little but never really tried to put it into practice until this photo. The color is done with my editing program but I like how it came out. Yeah, I really liked your lab photo. I found it while searching your blog to see what all I missed while on my break. It really is a beautiful photo. Have a wonderful Wednesday. ~Cindy
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photograph Cindy.
ReplyDeleteCostas
Thanks Costas. Hope you're having a wonderful week. ~Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteCosmos are one of my very favorites. I love your B&W photo! I planted some Cosmo's seeds two years ago and they keep coming back up. Just love them!
Love Di ♥
Hi Diana and thank you. They're a very simple but beautiful flower. They're one of my favorites too.
ReplyDeleteOh, Cindy!!! I'm so delighted to have found you again!!!! I was so unhappy when you took your break, and thought you had disappeared altogether!!! Woo Hoo!!! I've found you!!! Happiness!!! Love you! Janine XO
ReplyDeleteHi Janine and thank you. I'm happy to be back and look forward to catching up with your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Cindy
I haven't had cosmos' growing in my yard for years. I'll have to remember them for next year. You photos are always so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy and thanks. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say "hi!" and to see what you've been up to!! ~Janine XO
ReplyDeleteHi Janine. Between getting assignments finished, studying for finals and not feeling well I haven't been able to get out and take any new photos. I hope I'm able to take a break from the school work at least for a couple of hours and get outside this weekend. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Cindy
ReplyDeleteCindy, I love this! Seems I'm always afraid to go with black and white in my photos yet so many others do it with ease.
ReplyDeleteAnd Cosmos, maybe one day I'll take the plunge! They're so pretty.
Dear Cindy,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and very nice blog, I love it!!!
Kisses from Croatia.

Just to say that you are in my thoughts! ~Janine XO
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon. Thank you. I like taking black and white but to be honest if I set my camera to b&w the photos don't come out as well as they do if I just process them as b&w. You should definitely try b&w. Go ahead take the plunge. You're photos would be beautiful. Have a great weekend. ~Cindy
ReplyDeleteThanks Zondra Art. I'm glad you stopped by. I'm at school right now so I can't visit your blog but I look forward to visiting when I get home. Thanks again. ~Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Janine. Thank you. I'm half way done with finals and I'm feeling better. Unfortunately my medical issues are giving me some problems but I'm trying to get them taken care of. Will go to the doctors on Tuesday. Wish me luck. ~Cindy
ReplyDeleteOMG ! This is soooo beautiful. And so is the rest of your work in this blog as well.
ReplyDeleteWell done
Thanks Tommy. I'm glad you like them and happy you stopped by. Happy weekend. Cindy
