Zebra Longwing (I think)
I found this little butterfly on the Lantana growing next to the fence. I think it's called a Zebra Longwing, also known as the Florida State Butterfly (not the university).

Wishing everyone a marvelous Monday and rest of the week.
Until next time...

Just beautiful, a lovely capture Cindy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen. I was so excited it decided to stop for me. Have a wonderful week.
DeleteIt is hard for me to get a decent butterfly shot. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful, but they don't like to pose for me; they flit from blossom to blossom and I tend to find myself chasing them around and around. So pleased that you got this shot...and such a pretty butterfly, too.
Hugs and love to you, my friend.

Thanks Jackie. I can just see you chasing them around the yard. LOL! :). They are rather hard to photograph, always on the move. I will admit I was just plain lucky with this one.

Cindy
Very nice, Cindy. Butterflies are hard for me to capture...probably too slow on the shutter! :) Have you ever been to the Butterfly World at UF in Gainesville. I've heard it's very nice.
ReplyDeleteHi Lowell and thank you. They can be a real pain to photograph but this time it wasn't too bad. I was lucky. I've never been there but sounds like it might be interesting. I think I'll check it out online.
DeleteLovely photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you Happyone. Happy Monday. :)
